I’m currently watching Iron Fist and thanks to Claire from the Defender’s Podcast I got the image of these two riding the tea cups. Luke and Danny are best buds, so it makes sense. I saw it as Luke doing all the work and Danny just having fun. Which sounds a bit right to me. I started this thinking it would be all in ink with limited colors, and then it looked weird to me. So I added colored pencils. So it’s a bit of a mixed media piece.

I love Ms Marvel, and so does Rory. Especially the latest incarnation of Kamala Kahn. She is awesome and cool and a total fangirl. I have done many pieces of Rory as various superheroes and today I did this one. I love the pose he takes and the bold look at the viewer. I think Rory and Kamala would be great friends and I could see them fighting crime and saving the world together, as long as he wasn’t distracted by a meal. He at least wants her autograph. I love drawing Rory as superheroes, and it is only fitting that he pose as Green Lantern. Rory Lantern? He’s already green so it fits that he’d bear the ring. Knowing him he’d think of food so he’d have more things to eat.

I got the new cable for the printer today so I was finally able to scan my drawings. It’s amazing how something so small can throw things out of wack. Markers on Paper.

Suicide Squad was so much better than I feared it would be. My love of Harley Quinn was sated while watching this movie and I want to see more Harley Quinn movies. After all Suicide Squad is all about Harley right? Oh and Amanda Waller. I paired this with stuff you can grab from a pick’n’mix.

I love drawing Rory as comic book characters, and each time I am surprised at how well it works out. This time I was working again with forced perspective, with the front on view of the guns. This is something I find very intimidating but I think I get better at it with each attempt. Watercolors on paper.
