Daily Creativity: SokumenSokumen is another stance from Aikido, it’s almost a curtsy type stance that you slide into before sweeping your uke down. It’s a side entering throw. I like this style of sketching out the position and then using the thick brush stroke to convey movement.
Daily Creativity: Rory as Green LanternI love drawing Rory as superheroes, and it is only fitting that he pose as Green Lantern. Rory Lantern? He’s already green so it fits that he’d bear the ring. Knowing him he’d think of food so he’d have more things to eat.

Daily Creativity: Love Your BodyLove Your Body is a theme that is very near and dear to me, so I wanted to try a bit of line art with a figure. Ink on paper.
Daily Creativity: KamaeKamae is the stance that all of aikido is based on. In this drawing I plotted out the angles to create the proper stance, and then drew in the lines hoping to evoke the movement that was about to happen. Tek said he’d like to see other stances and some techniques in this style. I was inspired by the day’s teaching at the kenshu. Ink on paper.
Daily Creativity: Elephant ProblemsI love drawing elephants, it started as something I drew for my nieces, and then I started drawing them more and more, and I really love them. This one I drew with the idea of an elephant who was disgruntled because they got their trunk in a knot. Elephant problems was done with Pencils on Paper.
Tek and I went up north for an Aikido kenshu (seminar), so we did an extra big purge before heading up. We tossed a bunch of tee shirts, some will be saved for a quilt I’m working on, while the rest will go to the local charities.
