Today I drew this mental image I have from time to time of Rory acting out his crush. Very few people know of the other animals in Rory’s story, but this is one of them. Ishime, a panther cub. Rory wants to give her a flower.
I drew this with fine tipped sharipes on paper. I like the ability I have to do some fun ink things with sharpies but find myself wishing for the control of a quill. Now if only I had a good way to utilize various ink colors with a quill?
Tonight I was supposed to record with the DexterCast. I have been looking forward to it for weeks, right smack dab in the middle of a super busy work week (44 page publication) and fundraising for my volunteer gig. Still, I was looking forward to it. Sadly, today work exploded and I finally was able to finish for the day and start cooking supper when my alarm went off to record with the DexterCast. Not only had I forgotten, but I didn’t even watch the episode like I had planned to. I feel like scum.
So as an apology to the whole crew of the podcast I drew a little Dexter card for them. Sharpies on paper (message is a font added later).
I didn’t have any Pie today in honor of Pi day, normally I make something, so instead I made this. It was fun, just some sharpies and paper. Take that teachers who said I’d never make anything of myself from doodling on my brown paper book covers… I now doodle all the time! And I’m happy doing it.
It’s hard to draw from memory, and while this is a sight I see often enough, it’s in the dark and I see it from behind… my husband gaming. It’s not a perfect match, but not bad considering I’m doing it from memory I think.
