Iron Dragon, the mash up of Rory and Iron Man is the third in my series of paintings of Rory as the Avengers. For Iron Man I felt it needed the thick black outline, and I think it made the composition pop more. This is my favorite of the series so far. Ink and Watercolor on paper. 3/20/2015

I decided I wanted to start a series of paintings of Rory as the Avengers, so I started with Thor. I chose Thor thanks to a twitter poll. I had fun painting Rory as Thor, and my husband came up with the name of Thory, so now I need to find a punny name for each dragon avenger. Watercolor on paper. 3/16/2015

I noticed tonight that I am almost finished with my 9×12 watercolor block so I painted this on the postcard size watercolor block. I also used some new paints I picked up today, happy to see the economic brand Van Gogh now makes watercolors. Watercolor on paper. 3/12/2015
