Daily Creativity: Rory as Black Panther

Daily Creativity: Rory as Black PantherWe saw Black Panther finally this week. I liked it a lot, I think however that there were some story problems, and while I loved all of the secondary characters, I didn’t care about T’Challa and Eric too much. I didn’t feel their drive too much. Still, the amazingness of the supporting characters and the creation of Wakanda made it all worth it. I drew this with the comic book costume in mind more than the movie costume. I also added in one of Rory’s best friends, Ishime. I think this is Black Dragon, that’s a good name.

Ishime is a character that I’ve tried to draw before but never got as close as this. I’m getting better but, I still need to do more work I think before I’m read to add her to my illustrations. She’s a panther cub with purple eyes and a white streak of fur on her forehead. She believes that she can become invisible if she slathers herself with perfume, everyone lets her believe that. She was created by a good friend of mine, but has stayed with me all of these years. Added to Rory’s friends long ago. This is just a snapshot, will scan later. I’m waiting on a new cable for my scanner. Pencil on paper.

Day two of lent purge has also been done. Removing items from the house is liberating.
