Daily Creativity: “I’m Going to buy you so many lizards!”

I'm going to buy you so many Lizards!
“I’m going to buy you so many Lizards.” Says Phillip J. Fry to Leela as an expression of his love in S2Ep8 “Xmas Story.”

I love that episode but more the line is something that sticks with me. When my husband does something that makes me feel overwhelmed with love for him I say this. When he does something extra special and I want him to know how much I appreciate him, I say this. He says it to me too, it’s an expression of love that most people don’t get but it signifies our relationship. Geekness even invades our mushy life.

I made this as vector/line art. I think it might end up in the merch store too, what do you think? Would you want this on a tee shirt? or something else as cool?

Daily Creativity: Prof. Brainfever

Prof. Brainfever Of Super Villain Corner
This is how I see Prof. Brainfever (of Supervillain Corner fame) working in his shop. Sure, he could be working on some clones, but today he is making some fun modifications to his blaster ray gun.

His creator gave me permission (invited me) to try my hand at drawing his characters and I had a lot of fun doing it. I hope he likes it.

Daily Creativity: Ruby & Rory

Rory peeking over Ruby's (from Flash Pulp) shoulder as she writes in her diary.
The crew from Flash Pulp (Podcast) said they wanted Rory done as some of their characters, but I just saw Rory looking over Ruby’s shoulder while she wrote about Zombie Survival.

I’m sure we will see Rory dressed as some of the characters as we go through this project, along with some other ideas other podcasters have given me.

Daily Creativity: Monocle Frog (for Leap Year)

Monocle Frog
Disapproving Frog is Disapproving.

In honor of Leap Day tomorrow I sketched a gentlemanly frog for you. It helps that I adore frogs, and for some reason I wanted to put him in as formal dress as I could. I imagine he speaks with a british accent too, yes, yes.

Yes, it is a bit late for this to count for the 28th, but I count the end of the day as when I go to bed, and I haven’t gone to bed yet (it’s 5:30am here right now)

Daily Creativity: Rory the Pooh, or Silly ol Dragon

Rory the Pooh
Tonight I did another drawing of Rory, I never get tired of drawing the little dude. So what’s better than combining my love for the dragon and my childhood mentor, Winnie the Pooh?

I did this with colored pencils, and I had fun with the shading.  Now I’m tempted to draw Rory as all of the characters of the 100 acre wood.
