It’s hard to draw from memory, and while this is a sight I see often enough, it’s in the dark and I see it from behind… my husband gaming. It’s not a perfect match, but not bad considering I’m doing it from memory I think.
I drew this with pencil and then inked it with a fine shaprie.
This piece is inspired by members of my own family, they should know who they are. It’s been a trying year for them all and while I don’t see them all the time, I love them and wish them the best. Stay Strong.
I painted this on my iPad while at the radio station before recording another episode of EPIC (Nutty Bites Listeners would love this episode) and then candlepin bowling with some friends. They teased me for drawing instead of bowling, but I think i may have gotten my best score ever tonight, which is still a sad score. Also, kinda fitting considering who inspired this picture.
More Red Dwarf fan art, as I mentioned before, I am taking the cast of the Red Dwarf IntroCast and drawing them as characters from the show, Red Dwarf.
Now we have Angela, as the Cat. This one was hard because Angela has very tight curls, I had to relax them a bit to make them work for the picture, but I think she looks stellar in her Cat suit and the necklace it one of my favorite parts of this. After drawing this, I think crossplaying the Cat from Red Dwarf would be a heck of fun.
Another painting from my iPad. This one I call embrace. I can expect from a select few of my readers they will deem this one a bit risque. I’ve done nudes before, and I’ve done my blob people before, but this post is a bit more formed and a bit intimate. I like it, I don’t think it’s too out there, but I expect some might. Art will always offend someone, and it should. I didn’t paint this to offend, I only realized it would as I went to post it on the internet. I often don’t see the risque nature of things I create. A photograph of a mouth can be innocent beauty to some and pornographic to others, the same can be said for almost anything. After getting a lot of private comments about some of my art, I only expect it with this one.
I like how the colors are red and orange, I like how they blend and make me think of fire, and warmth. I like that they embrace is warm and the color is transferring between the forms. I’m not sure I like how they are semi floating in space. I tried to create a ground without getting too specific. I didn’t want to the background to distract the eye.
It’s been a few days since I’ve posted a Daily Creativity, mostly because my creative project from those days isn’t finished yet. It’s taking a lot of time to dry in between the stages… but on to this one. Kiss. As Tek calls this style, my blob people. This style I think conveys emotion of a moment, which strikes a chord with me.
