I told you I would use the Full Body Project for inspiration for my Love Your Body series. Here it is. I feel like the photo Nimoy composed is directly inspired by Botticelli’s the Fates, which is a classic. I enjoyed painting this and chose to make the outside fates in primary colors and the central one as the secondary color they make when mixed. Painted in watercolors in ArtRage on my iPad. 2/28/2015

Daily Creativity: Live Long, and Prosper.
If you were on social media tonight you would have read that everyone’s Grandpa, Leonard Nimoy has passed, as well as Maurice Hurley (a writer from Star Trek). It hit pretty hard because I’m a trekkie, Spock was my friend, Nimoy was the actor. I had known he was getting involved in photography, but didn’t realize he was the photographer behind the Full Body Project, a project that is near and dear to my heart. One of the pictures was an inspiration for my Love Your Body series. So this is in tribute to him, to the effect his character had on me, and everything. I may be using his photos as inspiration for more paintings too. Painting in ArtRage on the iPad. 2/27/2015
Daily Creativity: Stella & lil Nutty, my friend fiction
I have a friend who is a special kid, her name is Stella. She has suffered from some bullies and had a more challenging childhood already. I have told her about my experiences with bullies as a form of encouragement and “It gets better.” The reactions this wonderful child has had always amaze me. She has a great supportive family too, which makes her very lucky. When talking with her mom I said that had there been a kid like Stella in my school I would have had at least one really awesome friend. We’d be this awesome pair, and so I had to draw it. This is called “Friend Fiction” (Thank you Tina Belcher for that term), it’s like fan fiction, only about real people. I hope Stella likes this.
