Daily Creativity: My homage to the Traveling Totoro Family

TravelingTotoroFamilysm

I was inspired to draw my friends with their friends.  If you’re not following The Traveling Totoros on facebook then you are missing out on pictures that will brighten your day of little totoros doing random things.  They make me smile.  So I drew in little versions of their humans, @jdecorin & @scarredsoul in a scene from the movie with them.  I couldn’t put the whole family in there, but I got three of them, Cornelius, Amelia & Pip! This was drawn with ink on paper.

Daily Creativity: Baby Clock Doc

Little Baby Clockwork Doctor, isn't he cute?

If you are watching my flicker feed you have already seen this adorable little guy.  I drew a baby version of The Clockwork Doctor and I think he’s adorable.  I just got some new supplies, some new micron pens that I am in love with, they don’t smudge at all when I’m erasing so that is just awesome, and an art card size watercolor block.  I’ve been looking for art card pads but just can’t seem to find them, but this seemed doable.  The paper may have more texture that I wanted for ink but it will hold up well I think.  I also recently picked up a Non-Photo Blue pencil which helps with ink sketches.  I was very tempted to add color to this, but thought better of it. Daily Creativity: Harm Carter FanArt

HarmCarterFanArtSMI drew this for Flash Pulp, the main character from the pulp storyline of The Murder Plague.  I made this as part of a Flash Mob contest, normally I don’t create art for contests, but this wasn’t the normal art contest, this was basically a community participation contest, and I’m always on board for those. Now that the contest is over and the results have been made public I can share this on my own site. This is made with color pencil and ink on paper.

Daily Creativity: Warhammer

2014-04-22 10.45.174/18/2014? I think
I painted this up shortly before Easter, my last few weeks of lent have been creative light, I’ve been sick and just unable to concentrate, which sucks.  Tek has been wanting me to try my hand at painting Warhammer miniatures, this is my first attempt.  He didn’t have any purple so I mixed to make the best I could.  I’d like to try again, and even then I think I can go back in and add some more detail here.  Still, my first attempt isn’t bad I don’t think.  It’s really tiny work, which is a challenge with my eyesight.
