Working with extreme shading here as I’ve done before.  I really like working from high contrast, this shading most of the image just feels right to me.

I never saw the movie, never read the graphic novel (though, really I should considering my proximity to Halifax) but I just think she’s pretty, so I drew her.

BTW I do plan to read/watch, eventually.

Don’t ask me why I did a portrait of Abraham Lincoln, I just did.  I have to say getting close into the facial detail of one of our most famous presidents made me realize how he would never have been elected or respected today.  He had old man hair, a really bad nose, bad skin and HUGE ears.  We are so superficial these days.
