So this was inspired by a suggestion from my sister. When I was a kid my family was very involved in the local soccer club, all of us played, whether we wanted to or not. Everyone is fond of talking about how I would get distracted and was often found picking dandelions in the field more often than chasing the ball. If you know me, that shouldn’t surprise you. After Aikido last night I was inspired but I wanted to do something that represented the circles, and wave like movements we do. So I googled some images and found an image of two practitioners in this move. I drew this using ink with a brush, it was tricky at times, and I liked the results, but in the original I smeared some of the ink with the heel of my palm, so in this case, the scan is better than the original. I decided I wanted to start a series of paintings of Rory as the Avengers, so I started with Thor. I chose Thor thanks to a twitter poll. I had fun painting Rory as Thor, and my husband came up with the name of Thory, so now I need to find a punny name for each dragon avenger. Watercolor on paper. 3/16/2015
