Nutty Bites 94: DIAF 2016

Nutty Bites 94: DIAF 2016

Nutty Bites 94: DIAF 2016DIAF 2016, that means DIE IN A FIRE! I don’t normally groan and complain about a year because all have some highs and lows, but this year was pretty extreme. We can quantify scientifically the amount of suck this year. Tek and I wanted to talk a little but about the suck, but also wanted to talk a bit about the good that happened to us and the good that happened in the year. We have some advice and some steps to take to ensure that 2017 is better than 2016.

Kiki’s Delivery Service is the second installment of the Intro to Ghibli podcast, a sub segments of Nutty Bites and Talk Nerdy 2 Me. Join us as we talk about this movie and the great voice casting for the disney english release of the film. All Praise Phil Hartman as a Cat!!!

Also pumpkin and herring pie? Really? Is this a thing? Please tell us if you’ve ever eaten this. It sounds gross but who knows?

Intro to Ghibli, a new regular segment of Nutty Bites and the Talk Nerdy 2 Me Podcasts. Jen & Jason guide newbies Nuchtchas & Tek through the movies of Studio Ghibli. We are starting with the Hayao Miyazaki films in order(ish), just bumping My Neighbor Totoro to the first.  Once we finish those we will hit up the Isao Takahata films, then the Ghibli films without either director, then two non Ghibli Miyazaki films, and we also have some bonus shorts to sprinkle throughout.

Nutty Bites 91 Bloopers – Not At All About Fictional Families

Nutty Bites 91 Bloopers -Not At All About Fictional FamiliesNutty Bites 91 Bloopers – Not At All About Fictional Families

Catch all the Bloopers from Nuchtchas and Tek’s discussion with Tee Morris and Pip Ballantine as they gathered to talk about their favorite fictional families and The Curse of the Silver Pharaoh. But really they talk a lot about other things like rye and visiting and other off topic things.

Nutty Bites 91: Fictional Families w/Tee & Pip

Nutty Bites 91: Fictional Families w/Tee & PipNutty Bites 91: Fictional Families

Fictional Families are everywhere, Nuchtchas, Tek, Tee Morris, & Pip Ballantine talk about their favorites and The Curse of the Silver Pharaoh. From the Adams Family to the Jetsons to the crew of Firefly or Moya, families are what make fiction compelling. Families bring you back for more. You may cry over the ending of the Wonder Years because you are reminded too much of your own family, or run from Malcolm in the Middle because it is all too familiar. In space, in our world, the wizarding world, or protecting America, families keep us hooked into these characters and warm our hearts. Even if it’s vampires fighting over the bloody dishes, we can’t help but relate. What is your favorite fictional family? Tell us in the comments or send in feedback.
