Today’s painting is another love your body, I think this study will have to be worked on more, attempted a few times, the proportions are still a bit off, but I love this just the same. I love how her middle roles and how she seems to be holding herself in a loving embrace, she loves her body.

Daily Creativity: Love Your Body
3/3/2014
This is a painting I did from an image I’ve had on my iPad for over a year, I really wanted to be able to paint it but the red sheets were so striking. Sadly I don’t have the source for the image to link to :( if you recognize it please let me know so I can fix that.
This is part of my Love Your Body series, basically celebrating the beauty of the human form. Everyone is beautiful.
I’ve got a new stylus for my iPad (months old, but new this year and I haven’t talked about it yet) its a paint brush, and I just love it. It works so well and I feel like I have better control now.
Daily Creativity: Reclining
I first saw this post on tumblr by user flushedskin and knew I wanted to paint something with this as a guide.
I first worked on a study on my ipad and then tonight painting this with watercolors. I had to modify it a bit since the original photo had a hand and phone in the way, but I think I did all right. I ended up using my husband posting for me to figure out where the shoulder should be.
I love how soft this looks, like the coloring too. There is something about the human form that I just love painting.
Daily Creativity: Summer 2013
This summer I painted this watercolor of different people and sizes swimming and having fun. I love the idea of being comfortable in your skin and enjoying summer.
This is a watercolor painting in tabloid size. Prints are available if anyone is interested. I have the original hanging in my studio now. It makes me smile every time I see it.
