Nutty Bites 12 Days of Podcasting Day 2 Social Justice Prayer

Today I shared the Social Justice Prayer composed by a council of Catholic Bishops, and then a version translated by a Unitarian Minister to remove the religious connotations.

Father, you have given all peoples one common origin.
It is your will that they be gathered together
as one family in yourself.
Fill the hearts of mankind with the fire of your love
and with the desire to ensure justice for all.
By sharing the good things you give us,
may we secure an equality for all
our brothers and sisters throughout the world.
May there be an end to division, strife and war.
May there be a dawning of a truly human society
built on love and peace.
We ask this in the name of Jesus, our Lord.
Amen.

Non Religious:

ABBA,
You have given us a common origin.
Fill our hearts with the fire of love and justice.
May we be moved to secure justice for all.
It is your will that we be gathered together as one human family.
May we be moved to secure equity for all of our brothers and sisters.
Within our human family, help us to create a legacy of love and peace.
Amen.

Spirited Away was in theatres this month, Nuchtchas and Tek took the advantage of being able to see this film for the first time on the big screen. Jason’s favorite Ghibli movie did not disappoint. Also, it has an actual ending!!!! Plus we are talking about cosplay opportunities. Next up is Howl’s Moving Castle.
