Aqua Teen Forever: Plantasm is a movie that I didn’t know was made till yesterday. It’s just as stupid as you remember the show and I think it is fitting it went directly to streaming, goes with the whole vibe. Welcome to Dog days 2023!
Welcome to dog days of podcasting for 2023, where podcasters from around the world do a podcast a day for the month of august. I really suggest you listen to the main RSS feed.
Nutty Chat, it has been a while since we have done one of these episodes. Nutty and Tek sit down to breeze through what’s coming up, what they are excited about, and looking through some of the upcoming movies.
You can support Nutty Bites by donating to the Patreon campaign, through paypal or venmo () or through any other method. Patrons get the private RSS feed where you get shows before the main feed and a thank you read on the podcast. Alternatively you can donate to the charity of your choice in honor of Nutty Bites and either put in my email for the thank you or send a screenshot of your donation to me, and I will read your name out on the podcast and thank you.
S&T Geotronics are at it again. In this episode of Nutty Bites James Sanderson and Marc Tessier explain the Open Antikythera project to Nutty and Tek. The Open Antikythera kickstarter will go live at the end of July, but you get to hear about it here first. It’s always great to virtually visit Marc and James in the shop and learn about their projects, the process, and how they support the maker community. What we really love is how they use new tools to take us back in time to learn some technical history, and this time, we are going back 2000 years to hack Archimedes’s computer.

The Trailer for the Animated movie Babylon 5: The Road Home dropped and when we watched it we got excited. Babylon 5 is a series Nutty and Tek have bonded over and it means something special to many scifi fans. We wanted to share why we love this series, but also to invite any listeners to record a short clip for part 2 of this episode where you tell us why you love Babylon 5.

The much anticipated movie Across the Spiderverse deserved it’s own full length Dinner and a Movie episode. The first film Into the Spiderverse was groundbreaking and one of the best superhero movies of all time, and by far the best Spiderman movie of all time (as previously stated on this podcast) This new movie pushes that boundary even more. In a year with a glaringly high number of multiverse movies this one pushes that envelope a little more. The spiderverse films show how you can be inclusive and not exploitive about your inclusion. How you can tell a rich story while respecting the different experiences of the viewers. It’s movies like this that make you realize we can do all the things we say we want to do, we can if we remember that storytelling is and artform. Nutty, Tek, Jason, and Vox are all in on this Dinner and a Movie episode and we want to know what your thoughts were too.
