Nutty Bites 244: Across the Spiderverse – Dinner and a Movie

Nutty Bites 244: Across the Spiderverse - Dinner and a MovieThe much anticipated movie Across the Spiderverse deserved it’s own full length Dinner and a Movie episode. The first film Into the Spiderverse was groundbreaking and one of the best superhero movies of all time, and by far the best Spiderman movie of all time (as previously stated on this podcast) This new movie pushes that boundary even more. In a year with a glaringly high number of multiverse movies this one pushes that envelope a little more. The spiderverse films show how you can be inclusive and not exploitive about your inclusion. How you can tell a rich story while respecting the different experiences of the viewers. It’s movies like this that make you realize we can do all the things we say we want to do, we can if we remember that storytelling is and artform. Nutty, Tek, Jason, and Vox are all in on this Dinner and a Movie episode and we want to know what your thoughts were too.

Nutty Bites 241: How to rewatch (rewatches, sequels, reboots, and more)

Nutty Bites 241: How to rewatch (rewatches, sequels, reboots, and more)When we rewatch or jump into a sequel or reboot, we often expect the same experience as the first time yet it is almost always not going to be the same. We are different, the world is different, and we have already had the experience of the original content. This can make us cynical and push away things we could enjoy. Tek and Nutty dive into how to get the best out of that rewatch.
