Nutty Bites: ST Enterprise – Dinner and a Movie – Dog Days of Podcasting 2018

Star Trek Enterprise isn’t the best trek series out there, but it also isn’t the worst. I think watching it in binge format makes it better. I was very frustrated when it originally aired and ended up dropping it. This was the first trek series I had ever dropped. Rewatching it now, I see what I missed. Yes, Season 3 really gets interesting, but you have to slog through two seasons of character development/discovery to get to that. I’m not done with the series yet, but I’m really glad that I gave it a second shot.

Nutty Bites: Blade Runner 2049 – Dinner and a Movie – Dog Days of Podcasting 2018

Blade Runner 2049 didn’t disappoint me. It disappointed some viewers who I expect thought they were going to see an action flick, not expecting, like the first film, that this was an art piece. Not bad considering I don’t even like Ryan Gosling normally. I paired this with a stir fry to emulate some of the food in the film without subjecting you to eating bugs.

Nutty Bites: Final Space – Dinner and a Movie – Dog Days of Podcasting 2018

Do I like Final Space? Yes! Yes I love Final Space! This is a series I watched on Netflix but it aired on TBS. It started as a youtube show that was picked up and give a budget by Conan. The voice acting is great, the story is interesting, and it gets pretty dark. I highly recommend this for all scifi fans as it references so many classics. Plus anything that can pay homage to Red Dwarf makes me really happy. Chookity.

Nutty Bites: Luke Cage S2 – Dinner and a Movie – Dog Days of Podcasting 2018

I know I have already featured Luke Cage on Dinner and a Movie, but season two was so good, it deserved a revisit. This season is so much better than the previous, it’s consistent and tight. The secondary characters really step up too and everyone gets to display their acting skills. Not to mention the awesome music and some really interesting fight scenes, Daughters of the Dragon anyone?

Nutty Bites: Solo: A Star Wars Story – Dinner and a Movie – Dog Days of Podcasting 2018

Solo: A Star Wars Story was a fun film. It was like reuniting with old friends. I enjoyed it, loved all of the in jokes and easter eggs too. I really don’t care what fake fans say, or real fans who may not have liked the film or the other films in the continuing story, I had fun. After all, isn’t that the point of movies? I also talk a little bit about my dinner, it doesn’t really connect to the movie, but it was so good and yummy, it was worth talking about.
