Yesterday was Palm Sunday, a day when we get palms at church and hear the Gospel story. When I was a kid my siblings and I would always take our palms and turn them into crosses. I remember making a palm man once but crosses seemed more of an acceptable distraction. Now I see stores selling palm crosses and it just puzzles me to no end.
Today’s Daily Creativity and Pop Art is of my good friend @GeekAcres. The photo I worked with if from our annual photo shoot at Balticon and he is one of the highlights of that con. He has a few podcasts worth looking into and is an all around great guy, so follow him on twitter and tell him I sent ya. :)
I forget where the idea came from, but in one of the many conversations with my husband we joked about Rory (our Dragon) riding around in a TARDIS as the Doctor, and even sang the Theme just singing the word RAWR. So today I drew the idea, and I can’t help but think how adorable the little dood is!

((Where are the Daily Creativities from 4/14 & 4/15? Well here’s the deal, 4/14 I was driving home from the states and by the time I got in I just crashed. Then I woke up and had to get sick to get rid of all the road trip badness so I slept for most of 4/15. By the time I was up and rady to move my husband I went out to our friend’s for supper, after many tequila sunrises later we decided to spend the night so I never got around to drawing. So one day it was not possible to draw, and the other day I failed… oh well, such is life.))
I started this on a stop during my drive home from CT to NS on 4/13. I stopped in NH to visit with some friends and while I waited for them started drawing this. When I heard one of them say “I see someone drawing, that must be Nutty.” I giggled and put the drawing away.
I was going for a “two sides of the same coin” idea.
