Paul takes a last look at the last 31 days of trivia podcasting. He offers some ideas rolling around in his brain for the Dog Days of Advent. Then he tells a little bit of his family adventure at the Minnesota State Fair, including some on-ride content. Lastly, there is an honest and accurate reporting of Monday Night Trivia at Duluth Cider, since the recording was actually made after the game instead of before.
Today Paul starts with Dog Days of Advent “Episode Zero” and details his plans for the Dog Days of Advent 2024 Podcast Challenge. It’s a trivia quiz! As a break to allow time for celebrating his wife Darcy’s birthday, Paul gives a trivia quiz in which he tells how to defeat ten fictional adversaries, while you answer who they are and where they are seen.

MPAT studios proudly presents, Mad TV Mayhem, Buffy the Vampire slayer edition. The boys in the booth are tackling the seven seasons of Buffy, for their next foray into television.
Following similar rules to Mad Movie Mayhem, each episode will have a random scene card drawn from the bag, that scene card will have a number for the scene and a number of characters. Then that number of characters will be drawn at random and in random order to preform the scene.
All You the listener needs to do is, guess what season and what episode the scene is from. Then send a message to The Master Piece Audio Theatre Facebook page, as fast as you can.
Five points will be awarded for the season, and five points will be awarded for the episode, the points scale from first place downwards. This means that you don’t need to know both answers to get points. You can send the episode name when it comes to you, and then follow up with the season when you figure it out, or the other way around.
The score board will be announced at the beginning of each episode, and will also be available on the blog post and social media posts. At the end of 24 episodes we will declare the winner, and they will receive the grand prize! Audio of their choice performed by me, up to an hour (got to cap it somewhere) and custom art by Denise Lhamond.
