First I sketched this, then, inked it, then, scanned it, then colored it in photoshop (I know @caelan, you don’t like it when I do that :)
Not sure it works completely, but I love the folds of her skirt, not too pleased with the goggles, but it’s pretty I think
In honor of my new favorite word (thanks @smoran8m) though this model I don’t think is large enough to fit the word, I just loved the curve of her hip and had to draw this.
I sketched this while watching @Lartist ‘s UStream tonight, and yeah, I gave a touch of color to the background in photoshop after I scanned it.
This is the start of a painting I would like to create. As is this is pencil and color pencil. I hope to make this an oil painting, I just need to work on the cropping, or composition, and then have fun with the paint. I have a basic idea of shape and light, the foreground will be the darkest, then the next object will reflect some of the light that is coming from behind. That will be a challenge, making the light realistic. I want a very sharp powerful contrast.
This comes from an idea someone mentioned to me when looking at another of my pieces, I wonder if that person can guess who they are.
Oil on Canvas
This is a painting I did over a month ago (OK a few months ago, back during lent) inspired by my friends K & M. When I went to visit them it was easy to see how they felt about each other and I had a mental image of a painting I wanted to do since then, but each time I tried to get it onto paper it was a failure. Finally, I was able to get the form out and this is the result. I am actually pretty pleased with this painting and will possibly make it available for people to order prints. While it was inspired by two specific people it can symbolize almost anyone.

Been a while since you have seen anything from me. Sadly while I was at Balticon I had my sketchbook with me but did not draw a thing, how is that?
I did draw before and after and while I have a few interesting things in my book I wanted to share what I did last night, this is of my niece from a ballet recital that I could not attend :( from a picture my Sister In Law took of my Niece (daughter of my Sister) just after her Ballet recital. That wasn’t too confusing was it?
I just loved the shadows on this image and had to draw them, but also you could see the flexing of my tiny niece’s muscles and it was amazing to me, so that too was fun to draw. Just look at the tightness in her neck, your the roundness of her arms, all muscle on such a small frame.
