Nutty Bites 263: Why We Love Fountain Pens

Nutty and Tek dive deep into why we love Fountain Pens. While there are a host of wonderful places to check out fountain pens our top recommendations are below.

  • Goulet Pens: US online seller & best resource for tech specs, nib variations, and ink samples
  • Wonder Pens: Canadian brick and mortar shop (Toronto ON) and online seller
  • Phidon Pens: Canadian online seller (and they now have a storefront in Cambridge ON)
  • Gold Spot: US online seller, also sells roller ball and non fountain pens and other stationary
  • Jet Pens: US online seller
  • PenBBS Etsy: Mentioned in the show, direct sales

Inktober 2019

FINALLY I scanned all of my #Inktober pieces, that tells you how fare behind I am on scanning. Since I started using Instagram I have been putting a rough photo there and then put the piece in a pile waiting to be scanned.

I have a few rules for my personal Inktober challenge:

  1. The Ink in question is fountain pen ink, so all of these were drawn with fountain pens, and maybe some water dilute or paint with the color.
  2. No sketch lines or pencil lines first, no whiteout, just straight drawing without prep.

Which ones are your favorites? Some of them I really like, some, not so much.

I can also make prints of any of these if needed.
