Rich’s Sweet Potato Pie

In this episode I made Rich’s Sweet Potato Pie. His recipie called for white sweet potatos, but we don’t have those up here in the north, so I just made it with the orange kind. This came out sooooo good.

Special K Squares from Julie

In this episode I made Julie’s Special K Squares. This was a surprising treat. I was expecting something like rice krispy treats, but it really was uniquely its own. Also, a totally vegan recipe which could be shared with your vegan friends. Now if you buy the gluten free special K this will also work for celiac friends. I love peanut butter, and this one is full of it, so I think it’s good for any time of day.

Trader’s Stew from Paulette

In this episode I made Trader’s Stew, as featured by Paulette Jaxton in the Empress Sword. I had it at the book’s launch party and a few other times she made it, I love it so much, mostly because it has a curry flavor and Brussels sprouts. I have had the recipe for years but never got around to making it, I think I was too intimidated. This test kitchen project finally inspired me to try it, and considering this year I have been all about soup, it’s been a perfect match. I loved making this and I think I will use parts of this in my every day soup making from now on.
