Nutty Bites 107: Strong Female CharactersIt seems like Strong Female Characters are on the rise again. Nuchtchas and Laura Nicole are joined by Tek and Jason to talk about it. First of all, why are we seeing a resurgence of the strong woman? Which characters are the most relevant to our experiences? Thanks to the past popularity of strong female representation, society has changed, as a result those characters of the past don’t hold up to today’s standards. Nutty Bites 103: Intro to Ghibli – Whisper of the HeartWhisper of the Heart is about growing up, the creative process, the work it takes to achieve your goals, and it’s a love story. Nuchtchas, Tek, and Jen are all newbies on this film, guided through by Jason.
Intro to Ghibli, a new regular segment of Nutty Bites and the Talk Nerdy 2 Me Podcasts. Jen & Jason guide newbies Nuchtchas & Tek through the movies of Studio Ghibli. We are starting with the Hayao Miyazaki films in order(ish), just bumping My Neighbor Totoro to the first. Once we finish those we will hit up the Isao Takahata films, then the Ghibli films without either director, then two non Ghibli Miyazaki films, and we also have some bonus shorts to sprinkle throughout.
