DDOQ: Tales from the bunker episode 1

DDOP Dog Days Master Piece Audio Theatre

“Some will see this as the apocalypse, while other see this as natural evolution.”

– Joe Laszlo

Hello and welcome to MPAT studios! We proudly present the dog days of quarantine, tales from the Langejans bunker in combination with Mad movie mayhem. You’re getting two great podcasts for the price of one! Episodes will contain a story segment from minds of the Langejans family, as they survive their various apocalypses. You’re also going to get daily Mad Movies Mayhem scenes to earn points for the title of the movie. This edition is going to be apocalyptic movies, we’ll be playing until quarantine ends, that could be a long time. To make the game more competitive, the points will go from five down to one, plateauing at one point. Something else that’s going to change, is that the character voices are going to be chosen by you the listeners. The scenes will be preselected, and prerecorded that day, this means no hat/bucket this round.

The characters:

  1. Sir Hector Stewart
  2. Heironimo Stewart
  3. Little Billy
  4. Mencheck Megenovic (The Russian)
  5. Tom Later

Daily Creativity: And now for some color, with Kermit (Kermit as Che)

Kermit as Che Guvera

It came from a joke, not sure how it started, we were up WAY too late and somehow I got it into my head to draw kermit as Che Guevara.  Kermit is always awesome, as all Muppets are, Che, well he’s a symbol some people think of when they think revolution, and his image is something hipsters wear to try and impress on others that they are edgy and counter culture.  For some reason the mashup of these two icons amused me to no end.

I do remember saying “You don’t understand man!  Kermit was there, Man!  He was there in the swamp, he made that rek to Hollywood, he took Manhattan, he was there man!”

Ahhh late night fun.
