Daily Creativity: “Not Today”

20120313-232717.jpgwhat do we say to death when he comes? Not today.

My love of A Song of Ice and Fire is known far and wide, and Arya Stark is quite possibly my favorite character. I fully admit I used a photo of Maise Williams to draw over for this one. I’m not that good and not on my iPad :)
I was more practicing on how to draw on the iPad so slightly cheating is ok, right? Either way I’m still happy at how this came out, I love the blues.

Also posted from my iPad so formatting might be off and typos are expected

Daily Creativity: Snailfish

Snail Fish
It’s a Snailfish! I love animals, all animals really and often find even the smallest and slimiest cute. Like this snailfish here. I never heard of this before tonight and right now I am in love with this little guy. They should make a cartoon show about him, I would watch it.

Daily Creativity: Heinrich Hertz

Hertz
Today is Ash Wednesday and that marks the beginning of Lent for us Catholics.  For any of my new readers since last year, let me explain what that means for this blog.  Often for lent people give things up, that doesn’t work for me, it doesn’t make me feel closer to God at all, instead I take something on.  Every day of lent I MUST do one “Daily Creativity”, one creative work of art.  Then I post it with a little bit about the piece on this blog.  I also make sure that every day in March I do this for “Art Month”, since this year lent and art month coincide it’s  no extra work and 40 days of daily creativity.

Today while looking for inspiration I opened up google to find a google doodle in honor of Heinrich Hertz, so I decided to do his portrait.  I must say, he died young but gave science to much.

Daily Creativity: ClipArt

Mr Blue as Clip Art
I’ve been working on a poster for one of my clients and I wasn’t happy with the clip art I was using.  Sure the clipart al looked good but it didn’t match, it wasn’t cohesive for one poster.

So I took out my sketchbook and pencils and came up with this little guy.  I don’t have a name for him but I figured he was generic enough and cute enough to work.  I then scanned it and made vector art out of them.  There are more, but I thought I would share five of them as my Daily Creativity for today.
