Rory the dragon gazing into a mirror, what does he see? An impressive dragon!
I love the idea of how we see ourselves being different from reality, of only we could all have high opinions of ourselves like Rory does.

I think I may be getting too comfortable with the Love Your Body pictures, but they make me feel good and I love drawing them. This is another photo I had saved from a long time ago, so if you recognize it let me know so I can credit.
In case you can’t tell, I don’t like using representational color, I love making figures different colors to evoke the mood I feel from them.
This is pencil, colored pencils, and outline in ink on paper.

Today’s painting is another love your body, I think this study will have to be worked on more, attempted a few times, the proportions are still a bit off, but I love this just the same. I love how her middle roles and how she seems to be holding herself in a loving embrace, she loves her body.

This is a painting I did from an image I’ve had on my iPad for over a year, I really wanted to be able to paint it but the red sheets were so striking. Sadly I don’t have the source for the image to link to :( if you recognize it please let me know so I can fix that.
This is part of my Love Your Body series, basically celebrating the beauty of the human form. Everyone is beautiful.
I’ve got a new stylus for my iPad (months old, but new this year and I haven’t talked about it yet) its a paint brush, and I just love it. It works so well and I feel like I have better control now.
Tonight I was playing D&D with my group back in NY. They all get together at my sister’s house and my husband and I skype in with video. It’s fun, even if we haven’t worked out all of the kinks. Kinda nice that I get to keep my character and play from up here. My character is Pe’ggy, HE is a half orc Barbarian. I’ve been having a lot of fun playing him, really getting into the role playing side of it. He disbelieves in any magic, even if it benefits or hurts him. Everyone around him just plays along, even when using magic on him. For instance, when he was grown in size he just believed everyone else got small, and thought they were playing tricks on him.
While playing tonight I decided to give Pe’ggy a face. Pencil drawing that I slightly colored after scanning.
