What I’m watching
too much TV for someone who doesn’t have a TV signal. Let’s talk about what’s irking me on Dexter? No spoilers.

I had the same sort of reaction to Dexter. I have been considering doing a Dexter introcast, and one of my reservations was that, when they started the Deb/Dexter storyline, that I might wind up hating the last two seasons. The ending of the finale sucked me right back in, though, and I think that the fan reaction has been so overwhelmingly negative that they may rethink things between seasons.
I really hope they will drop the storyline. I really wanted to express how much I was unhappy with it, and listening while editing I realize I have a hard time talking about it. I have two adopted brothers, the notion that anything could happen with them and any of my siblings is just gross, it’s no different than two regular siblings so I just don’t understand where the writers were going with this.
As for the doomsday killer storyline, wow, oh very wow. I take my hat off to them on that, that was a great story and the twist at the church in the 3rd to last ep? That pulled me right in, (trying to be non spoiler here) and the last scene of the season, wow, I wonder where that will go.
My favorite line of the season though has to be.
Dexter: I’m here… if you need a … chair.
Debra: What?
Dexter: What you said before — I’m a chair.
Debra: Yeah, but I don’t want a chair. I want a table.
Finally caught up to this point in my podcasts… (still trying to catch up from November! lol) I had a blast with you at Hal-Con and the writerly stuff and the zoo! Hopefully we’ll get to do it all again this year :) I have the same thoughts about NaNo as you, though I know I will do it just because that’s me. I HAVE been writing more since Nano than I did last year, even though I haven’t finished anything. Two challenges have really been helping me with that –

I saw the not enough words one, the caramicheals one is new to me. Very cool. I still haven’t written anything but I feel the urge growing
