One Idjit’s Thoughts on The Rockford Files S2Ep4 “Gearjammers Part 2” & Whiz Kids Ep16 “Father’s Day”

This time, Paul watches The Rockford Files Season 2, Episode 4 “Gearjammers Part 2” the concluding episode of the two-parter, noticing that soon the actor he profiles will be on Whiz Kids as well. He notes a pretty obvious continuity error as well. Then he turns to Whiz Kids Episode 16 “Father’s Day” and finds another casting crossover between shows currently being covered.

First up, Paul watches Seeing Things Season One Episode Three “A Charming Sight” the first season finale. He looks at the third and last cast member who is credited in all 43 episodes of the series, looks at a educational construction set brand, and also notes a storied media production facility that is now in the past. Then attention turns across the pond and almost a decade later to Press Gang Series One Episode Three “One Easy Lesson.” Paul looks at Dexter Fletcher, and checks into the manufacturing process of ping pong balls.

One Idjit’s Thoughts on The Rockford Files S2 Ep3 “Gearjammers Part 1” & Whiz Kids Ep15 “The Sufi Project”

First, Paul looks at The Rockford Files Season 2 Episode Three “Gearjammers Pt 1,” where he takes a look at the changes of LA residential areas, muses about a notorious Hooker that was not yet disgraced, and looks at a veteran guest performer. Then comes Whiz Kids Episode 15 “The Sufi Project” Paul realizes this is the waning episodes of the series with the first of three episodes produced after the cancellation was already in place, if not publicly. He looks at a very recognizable shooting location, and briefly profiles Bob Shayne, writer, producer and co-creator of “Whiz Kids.”
