Daily Creativity: Engagement Ring & Sushi

And again we get two for the price of one, two days worth of drawings in one post.  Traveling does this, but I got it up and the whole point is the experience of me drawing I think.

Yesterday was my Baby Sister’s bridal shower, it was a great day and it inspired me to draw my engagement ring. If you’ve never seen my ring it is green malachite with a string of diamonds through the center. I love it so much and get a million compliments on it.

Today I got to have Sushi for lunch, I got it from my favorite place Teriyaki Express in Lindenhurst NY, so I drew some sushi. Granted the rolls I ate were much more elaborate. (White Dragon Roll was out of this world)

Being on the road and staying at my sister’s means it’s hard to upload and get things scanned and posted, but I am still drawing.  So here are two days worth of Daily Creativity:

While I was trying to draw tonight my sister’s cats kept trying to crawl on my sketchbook so I decided to draw them, so we have Romeow’s Body, and Juliet’s eyes.

Sorry but if I want to sleep at all tonight I can’t finish my Daily Creativity, I took a nice beautiful walk outside instead of drawing and I took a much needed pre-dinner nap today too.  I could push it, but as I have to drive down to NY tomorrow I am taking His advice and going to bed.  There won’t be one tomorrow either because I will be driving to another country.  Next Tuesday will be the same… you can follow my travels on twitter if you like.

Daily Creativity: Frog Princess

Frog Princess - ink & quill
I did another ink and quill piece tonight, a frog princess. I just love the contrast and how well the image pops. I think it looks a million times better IRL (as do most of these) but it scans pretty well by comparison.

In case I haven’t mentioned it before, I adore frogs. I collect them (not live ones, just figurines and toys) before I had a love for dragons I had a love for frogs (and they are related a bit). I don’t know if my parents chose this for me, or if I just loved Kermit too much… all I know is that as long as I can remember I have been frog crazy.

Cute story, my father used to wake me up with the line from Andy’s Gang, “Plunk your magic twanger! Hiya kids, hiya, hiya” you know, when he wasn’t pouring water on me because I sleep like the dead.
