Daily Creativity: Shane as Holly

Here we have the last installment of the Red Dwarf IntroCast crew… well the last individual portrait, I may create a group shot of all four.

Shane is very fitting as Holly, he has all the facts and was originally the only veteran viewer, so he knew more than the newbies. Plus, Shane is a politician, so it makes sense that he can have an IQ of 6,000 and sometimes get confused where in space he is :P

I couldn’t make Shane bald here to match Norman Lovett, but I couldn’t make him blonde to match Hattie Hayridge either, his own hair is just way too cool.

It’s hard to draw from memory, and while this is a sight I see often enough, it’s in the dark and I see it from behind… my husband gaming. It’s not a perfect match, but not bad considering I’m doing it from memory I think.

I drew this with pencil and then inked it with a fine shaprie.

This piece is inspired by members of my own family, they should know who they are. It’s been a trying year for them all and while I don’t see them all the time, I love them and wish them the best. Stay Strong.

I painted this on my iPad while at the radio station before recording another episode of EPIC (Nutty Bites Listeners would love this episode) and then candlepin bowling with some friends. They teased me for drawing instead of bowling, but I think i may have gotten my best score ever tonight, which is still a sad score. Also, kinda fitting considering who inspired this picture.
