Zentangle is a word I hadn’t heard until recently, while there is a “method” that some people do, I think it is a new name for doodling. Using patterns to create an image. When I started this I thought I was creating something floral, and then it turned more into something reminiscent of a jelly fish or sea grass. It was a wild ride.

Happy 85th birthday Ruth Bader Ginsberg. An icon to many, a snarky speaker, and the oldest sitting judge on the US Supreme Court. I saw that today was her birthday and she has confirmed yet again, that she has no plans to retire. Please don’t RBG, we need you.

Happy Pi Day. For the past few years I have created something to celebrate this event. This year I used the symbol as negative space and used circles as the background. I think it came out pretty good.

The poppy and the semicolon have a strong significance to me, and to Tek. After a discussion I thought I would work on a concept of combining the two. This is the first idea, it’s not exactly what I was looking for. It is what I intended to draw, but it doesn’t effect the emotion I was looking for. It is at least a starting point.

We saw Black Panther finally this week. I liked it a lot, I think however that there were some story problems, and while I loved all of the secondary characters, I didn’t care about T’Challa and Eric too much. I didn’t feel their drive too much. Still, the amazingness of the supporting characters and the creation of Wakanda made it all worth it. I drew this with the comic book costume in mind more than the movie costume. I also added in one of Rory’s best friends, Ishime. I think this is Black Dragon, that’s a good name.
