Invitations May 26, 2008

Filed under: Wedding — MoranGagnon @ 9:11 pm

I have my printable invitations right here, I looked up the nearest Kinkos and printed out directions. I have set up a word doc and pdf of both the invitation and RSVP card. Simple but elegant IMHO. Now all I need to do is go to the store and get them printed.

I plan to do this either tomorrow or Wednesday, then the Canadian addresses will be sent from Canada and the US from the US, to make life easier on all parties.

I still have to print the blue cards informing everyone that the Bride will be wearing light blue (and to not wear that color) and the address labels, but I can do that here at home. (My mother still insists that these need to be hand addressed but if I want them sent out then I need to just run off some labels because this is getting silly. I am running out of time, and I know this is my fault as I am not the most punctual person when it comes to details like this.

If you have not sent me your address please do so immediately. I am seriously lacking on addresses and I know people are going to get mad at me over it.

Also, the non-north american invites might not go out as it seems like those people won’t be able to attend and it might come to a price issue. I am pinching all the pennies I can, but if I can, I will send them along later. It is a time and money issue, not a I don’t care about you issue.

thanx

Another Registry

Filed under: Wedding — MoranGagnon @ 9:05 pm

So it seems the women in my family got together and decided that my amazon registry was not enough, one there is not enough on there, and two there are a lot of people who don’t shop online and want to go to a store.  So I said fine and went where I was told to go.  Granted there are no Targets in Canada but that was the original problem, the only store to register with that is both in Canada and the US is sears and honestly, no.  I don’t like what they had to offer and their online side was seriously lacking for a couple who falls under the “Young Urban Blogger Type” demographic.

Anywho, here is the Target registry I am trying to link the two up so they are connected.  It should be possible considering Target is powered by Amazon.cm (According to the footer on their side) and Target.com is a partner of Amazon.com (according to Amazon.com site).  So it should work, but how to do it is a mystery.  I have a customer service ticket set up so that should work.  🙂
